Dodos and Dinosaurs

On 26 February, we invite you to explore the collections at Oxford’s Museum of Natural History and Pitt Rivers Museum with us.

If you haven’t been to either of these museums before, then you’re in for a treat. And if you have been before, then I’ll bet you’ll find something you’ve never spotted before, since there are so many fascinating geological, zoological, archaeological and ethnographic specimens to look at. Added to this, the buildings which house these museums are stunning in their own right, so are worth visiting for that reason alone! So, whatever type of photography you’re into – e.g. architectural, macro, nature – I’m sure you will find something of interest. And yes, you really can see a Dodo and a dinosaur!

Seeking All Shiny Things

As with all our walks, we will be running a photo contest for any photos taken during the walk. This time the theme is “Shiny”. You may think this is a rather abstract theme, however all the better to inspire and fuel your photographic creativity! And believe me, once you start thinking about this theme, I’m sure you’ll have many ideas on how you could interpret it. And please do! The more creative the better!

So, what do you think? Will you join us? I hope so! And as ever, everyone is welcome, whatever your photography experience or camera equipment.

All the best,

Lorna
