“Autumn Colours” – October 2016 Photo Contest

Round of applause please! I’m delighted to announce the winners of our Oxford Photo Walk Autumn Colours Photo Contest

Our congratulations go to…

Our winner,  Venca Jirousek, with this gorgeous and vibrant peacock close-up – beautifully sharp, and perfectly captured. A slight twist on the theme ‘Autumn Colours’ perhaps, but it was taken during the photo walk, so we’re happy to make an exception!

Lorna Richerby (that’s me, thank you so much!)  who won 2nd place with this oak leaf caught in a spot light on a park bench. (FYI, the leaf was already there, but I might have re-positioned it ever so slightly, just to get the angle right… 😉 )

And in 3rd pace, Robert Casado, with this fantastic look-up shot. A really interesting perspective, don’t you think?

A big THANK YOU to all our members who joined us on the photo walk. I had a great time meeting you all, and I was delighted to see so many of you enter the photo contest.

If you haven’t yet had a chance, I strongly encourage you to have a look at our photo contest album where you’ll see the other great shots taken by our members during our October photo walk around Harcourt Arboretum.

Points sadly don’t mean prizes, but they do mean 5 minutes of fame for our winners! So stay tuned for our feature interview with our winner Venca, packed with lots more of his great photos!

All the best,

P.S. Registration for our November photo walk will open soon. Watch this space! 🙂
